Who is Spravato for?
Spravato may be suitable if you meet the following criteria:
- Have treatment-resistant depression (TRD)

What to Expect During Treatment
Spravato is not administered at home.
Each session includes:
- In-office administration of Spravato nasal spray
- Medical monitoring for at least 2 hours
- Supportive care and symptom check-ins
- Safe discharge planning after the observation period
Most individuals complete treatment in phases, typically beginning with twice-weekly sessions that gradually taper based on their response.
Safety and Monitoring
Spravato is administered under a stringent FDA safety program called REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy).
Common temporary side effects may include:
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Feeling "spaced out" or dissociated - Nausea - Sedation - Increased blood pressure during the session
