- NextGen Psyche and Wellness Copay Assistance Program: available for qualifying patients, including veterans. Call or text (626) 371-3053 to ask about eligibility.
- Accessia Health: a nonprofit that helps eligible patients with copays, deductibles, and insurance premiums. Eligibility depends on diagnosis, income, and insurance.
- NeedyMeds: free information on prescription assistance programs, drug discount cards, and low-cost clinics
Evidence-Based Mental Health Apps
These free or low-cost phone apps are based on proven approaches such as CBT and mindfulness. They work best as a supplement to treatment, not a replacement. Feel free to bring what you learn to your appointments.
- MindShift CBT (free): CBT tools for anxiety, worry, panic, and stress, from Anxiety Canada
- PTSD Coach (free): coping tools for trauma symptoms, from the VA National Center for PTSD. Available to everyone, not just veterans.
- CBT-i Coach and Mindfulness Coach (free): VA apps for improving sleep with CBT for insomnia and building a mindfulness practice
- eMoods: daily mood, sleep, and symptom tracking designed for bipolar disorder and depression. Reports can be shared with your provider.
- Medisafe (free): medication reminders and refill tracking, helpful for ADHD and busy schedules
- Headspace and Calm: guided meditation, breathing, and sleep programs
